Restaurant PM:

Certified of NY is seeking a Project Manager with superb communication skills and experience delivering projects on time, with an eye for high quality workmanship. This person in this position will be responsible for overall project management including client relationship, scheduling, budgeting and construction administration and will be accountable for the quality of work performed, client service and profitability.

The ideal candidate is a natural leader and formidable multi-tasker who quickly grasps existing structures, a clear understanding of construction management and offers effective solutions to problems. Must meet time and cost objective with respect to contract, schedule, estimates, bids, and contract administration functions. Prepare change orders and monthly requisitions, and bid/buy/estimates for new jobs. The position also requires the employee to attend weekly site meetings, coordination with site superintendents and subcontractors. You will also work closely with designers and project architects in establishing the project schedule, technical requirements, and budgets. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with owners, architects and owner's rep and manage their expectations.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

Minimum of 7-10 years project management experience.

Must have excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.

Able to direct and manage multiple projects from beginning to end

Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths

Plan, schedule, and track project milestones and deliverables.

Superintendent:

Certified of NY is looking for an experienced construction superintendent. A minimum of 10 to 15 years of construction experience working in commercial and residential (restaurant experience a plus) with at least 10 years of experience as a Superintendent

The Superintendent reports to the General Superintendent and/or Project Executive and schedules, coordinates, plans and supervises (directs) all field operations on a project. The Superintendent is responsible to direct and supervise subcontractors to assure the requirements of the project are met with respect to safety, schedule, quality control, cost control and customer satisfaction. Overall, the Superintendent is expected to provide construction management and general contracting services that meets the highest level of quality.

Skills should include:

* Managing site activity

* Labor relations and union agreements

* Anticipating and resolving field related issues

* Establishing and enforcing site schedule requirements

* Managing site safety and insurance risks

* Ability to communicate both written and oral

* Leadership

 

Estimator:

Certified of NY is seeking an Estimator to assist the estimating department for both commercial and high end residential projects. The estimator should have already gained 10 years' experience for evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring that we have all necessary documents required to successfully bid the project. Estimators will also work with the Project Management teams to follow up on bids and budgets for trade buy-outs.

Requirements and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

-Minimum 10 years' experience for commercial and residential bids

-Must be able to utilize AutoCAD

-Ability to read and analyze plans and specifications in full detail

-Prepare bid packages and meet deadlines

-Prepare and maintain status of plan reproduction

-Maintain spreadsheet to log in competitive subcontractor bids

-Review bid requirements thoroughly

-Develops RFI's, RFP's, and some scheduling

-Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe software

-Positive, thorough, and proactive communication a must as there will be constant interaction with Clients, architects, and subcontractors.
